Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz reports the team has granted safety Rayshawn Jenkins permission to seek a trade this offseason.
Jenkins only has one more year left on his contract and is scheduled to have a nearly $8 million cap hit for the Seahawks.
The 31-year-old played 13 games in his first season with Seattle, registering 53 tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery for a 102-yard touchdown.
He began the season as their starting safety, but lost the starting job to Cobe Bryant after going down with a hand injury.

The Seahawks are breathing a slight sigh of relief after the NFL raised its salary cap.
The league announced today that the 2025 salary cap has been set at a record $279.2 million per team.
It’s a nearly $24 million increase from last year.
The salary cap is calculated every year based on a formula tied to league revenues, which have increased in recent years because of new media rights deals.
Over the Cap currently projects the Seahawks to be roughly $6.8 million over the salary cap, which is the fourth-worst situation in the league.
All teams need to be under the cap by March 12.
